Lilylin Designs began in 1976 as Eastern Products Center. It was founded by Gene and Grace Ko who began importing and wholesaling semi precious jewelry and accessories from the Far East. In the beginning they sold primarily to small boutiques and gift stores. Eventually the business evolved into selling fashion jewelry to wholesalers and department stores.
They adopted the name Lilylin Designs in the early 1990s in honor of Gene's mother Lily Lin who had passed away from breast cancer.
Because of the wide variety of fashion pins they offered, Lilylin Designs became known unofficially as the King of Pins in the industry.
Throughout the years Lilylin's jewelry could be found in various stores such as Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Cincinnati Zoo, Burlington Coat Factory, and many others.
In July 2013 Gene and Grace retired and sold Lilylin Designs to Xccessorize LLC owned by sisters Theresa and Severina Xavier, who recently began selling directly to the public. Their ability to buy in bulk has allowed them to offer quality fashion jewelry at very affordable prices.
